PLANNING:

The idea for the Arctic Summits Expedition was born in December 2005. As we determined the execution date to be April/May 2007, we had 16 months to plan and prepare the expedition. This might seem to be a long time but considering the complexity of the preparations it is certainly not too long, especially since the expedition is completely self organized. Including the work after returning from Greenland the expedition will keep us buisy for full two years.
Our projekt plan is divided into eight phases which are overlapping in time. Each of the phases includes quite a lot of items to be covered:

- Definition and Realization Analysis
- Presentation and Aquisition of Sponsors
- Planning Details
- Permits
- Equipment Assembly
- Training und Equipment Tests
- Expedition
- Post Expedition Work
